Sam Weatherford


Sam is a Partner of Weatherford Partners.

Sam was a founding member of Schulze Global Investments, a private equity firm focused on the world’s most dynamic frontier markets. During Sam’s tenure with Schulze Global, he was responsible for executing multimillion-dollar transactions across Asia, Africa, South America, and Eastern Europe. He remains a shareholder in the firm. From 2012 to 2014, Sam served as Director of Schulze Global’s Ethiopia Growth and Transformation Fund. Sam also played a key role in seeding Schulze Global’s $100m Clean Energy Fund in the Caucasus, and supported efforts to launch a first-of-its-kind debt facility in Mongolia, in partnership with the Oversees Private Investment Corporation.

Sam is a board member of Abe Brown Ministries and serves as an advisor to Verdant Frontiers.

Sam started his career at GE Asset Management, before serving as Director of Fundraising for Will Weatherford, former Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business.

Sam attends Aletheia Church. Having lived in Beijing for eight years, he is highly proficient in Mandarin Chinese. Sam lives in Tampa with his wife, Salime, and their sons, Wesley and Peter.
